Your donation, of any amount, is very much appreciated. We don't go after "special interest" money that will take us in the wrong direction. Instead, we rely primarily on contributions from individuals and a campaign team that is primarily composed of energetic volunteers. For this reason, your money will be very well utilized to reach the voter and not wasted on political consultant scams.
The Federal Election Commission requires the occupation (job title) and employer (company or organization) so they can track contributions from a single employer who might try to influence the election by directing their employees to donate to a candidate. If you are retired, you can just write "retired" as your occupation, and leave the "employer" blank.
What's best for us? We are frequently asked this question, and getting paid with a check is the best way to receive your donation. This is because the credit card processing takes out a percentage of your donation right off the top.
