Recent Projects

Ray has been recently involved in a number of projects. You can learn more about these projects by visiting the copswiki website by clicking the link.

  • Citizens' Oversight Projects (COPs) - As a citizen in a democracy, it is your duty to oversee the entire government. All but impossible, to be sure, but if we each do a little bit, we can have a tremendous impact. You become a "COP" by picking a governmental body, and then go to their meetings, becoming the "citizen in the room" and providing the oversight we need. If you're not there, it becomes a free-for-all. You can start today!
  • Citizens Oversight videos - We've video-recorded many public meetings. It's truly amazing how the officials clean up their act when they are told the video will be posted on the Internet, and on a permanent basis.

  • COPS wiki - This is a great collaboration tool to help work on projects that we find as COPs! Like wikipedia, anyone can help edit the site, and help keep tabs on our governmental officials.

  • StopBlackwater.net - This is the primary starting point for our resistance against mercenary armies, such as Blackwater Worldwide.
    • Blackwater Worldwide - This is the main page for the project to eliminate "Blackwater Worldwide" and its profiteering mercenary business model.
    • Blackwater in Potrero - We helped the community of Potrero to resist the invasion of their small community by Blackwater and their plans for an 824-acre mercenary-style training camp, including 15 shooting ranges, 2.5 mile driving track, urban simulation areas, multi-level live-fire shoot houses, chopper pad, five and six-story training towers, 35,000 gallon gasoline storage tank, dorms for 300 trainees, and an 18,000 sqft armory, almost 1/2 acre apparently to store gun and ammunition. Blackwater pulled this project on March 7, 2008, one day after Ray announced his candidacy, and just before they would have to face a new planning group, as the old group was entirely recalled in an unprecedented (and landslide) recall election.
    • Blackwater Otay - On April 21, we got wind of a new and secret 61,000 sqft Blackwater training facility, this time on Otay Mesa within sight of the international border. Blackwater had gone to extreme lengths to conceal their project from the public, including using pseudonyms like "Southwest Law Enforcement," "Raven Development," "TSA Contracting," and "SAFChild Development," all under a Puerto Rico-based shell company called "E & J Holdings." When the city realized they were being taken for a ride, they decided to withhold the final occupancy permit so the project, called a "vocational school" could be scrutinized. However, Blackwater sued the City of San Diego in Federal Court, (bypassing the state courts) before a judge, Hon. Marilyn Huff, appointed by the President's father. She ruled in favor of Blackwater and forced the City to issue the occupancy permit without any public hearings. City Attorney Mike Aguirre has appealed the ruling to the 9th Circuit Court.

  • Election Integrity project - Ray has been active in the Election Integrity area, as it is clear that the last several elections have been "stolen" from the will of the people.
    • Open Canvass Method - Ray has developed the Open Canvass method as a proposed solution to the vote-counting problem we have as a citizenry. This is very important, so please look into it!

  • Sunrise Powerlink - Yet another ridiculous project to keep SDG&E in a high-profit business instead of embracing our renewable energy future. Important: The Recirculated Draft Environmental Impact Report is up for review until August 25. Please make written comments!
